Internet Marketing Specialist

Job Description

Become part of PrairieWeb’s Internet Marketing team. We have a full time position for an enthusiastic Internet marketing specialist. You will be responsible for setup, creation and execution of SEO and Internet marketing plans including keyword selection, organic search engine positioning, management of Google, Yahoo and other PPC engines for our clients.

  • Demonstrate your active understanding of the Search Marketing industry.
  • Develop and execute plans that support clients goals and strategies; ensure delivery of services according to contract.
  • Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive organic search engine optimization recommendations.
  • Conduct keyword analysis/research and develop keywords utilizing SEO tools and resources.
  • Perform website analysis, consultation and other search engine marketing services according to client contracts.
  • Forge partnership agreements on behalf of our clients with other online properties, directories and businesses.
  • Provide monthly reporting to clients of activities, successes and results and recommendations.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for improving web site sales performance.
  • Make specific recommendations to improve conversion rates and sales of client’s websites.
  • Ensure client’s site pages follow proper SEO guidelines with respect to coding and adherence to established best practices.
  • Analyze latest algorithm changes and continually provide recommendations and best practices.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in marketing or related
  • Two years experience with SEO
  • Two years experience with PPC management
  • Understand HTML and CSS; experience with URL rewriting, blogging platforms, content management systems an asset
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Strong research skills to find and review SEO-related articles and information concerning search engine marketing

Internet Marketing Internship

PrairieWeb Internet Marketing—Aurora IL (Greater Chicago Area)

Job Description

Become part of PrairieWeb’s Internet Marketing team. We have a number of internships available for enthusiastic students pursuing an education in the Internet Marketing industry. You will be responsible for the execution of social media and content promotion plans and assisting with reporting and more advanced search engine optimization and paid search marketing campaigns.

  • Provide research on potential and existing clients and the competitive landscape
  • Assist in identifying potential business opportunities
  • Monitor social media for news and developments relating to, or impacting, key clients/prospects
  • Prepare periodic reports on screening, tracking, and monitoring clients and prospects
  • Assist team members with tasks when requested

Internship Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external clients by phone, email and face to face
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
